Fueling Dreams at the Starting Line

Partly is thrilled to announce our sponsorship of 11-year-old Texan go-kart racing sensation Tanner Barsch, marking an exciting chapter in our commitment to motorsports and supporting up and coming American talent.

Tanner’s dad, Ian, has been a huge fan of motorsports all his life and has shared that passion with his young family.  While both of Ian’s sons race, his eldest son, Tanner has not only shared his dad’s extreme passion but has also shown he’s got some serious talent.

According to Ian, it all started when COVID shut down the usual weekend sports activities,  “Baseball stopped so I took the boys to the local track and Tanner absolutely fell in love with it and demonstrated he’s got real skill.”

It wasn’t long before he was noticed by CRG. In his first major race on a CRG with MSL Racing, Tanner Barsch drove his Black Mirror to a dominant win at the International Karting Federation Grand Nationals winning the coveted Duffy trophy and two Screaming Eagles for qualifying on pole.

This was no fluke with Tanner battling it out again at the CKNA Grand Nationals in Indiana only a few months later and missing first place by only .013 seconds. When asked, Tanner said his proudest moment in karting was winning the 2024 Texas Sprint Racing Series Championship in 206 Cadet.

Partly is no stranger to motorsports with our own Chief Strategy Officer, Tony Austin an accomplished driver himself who shares Tanner’s passion and commitment to racing. Tony started racing in a homebuilt Mazda RX7 as a teenager and developed to race Formula Ford and Touring cars across New Zealand and Europe.  Most recently, Tony is racing the Partly backed Porsche GT3 Cup in the national Pirelli Porsche Series.

"Supporting Tanner isn't just about placing our logo on a go-kart," said Tony. "It's about investing in the future of American motorsport and standing behind a young person who embodies the singleminded focus and drive for excellence that we so admire and strive for at Partly.”

Clearly, the connection between Partly, Tanner, and our shared passion for motorsports runs deep. Our support for Tanner represents our belief that dreams deserve support from the earliest stages. Many of today's racing champions began their journeys in go-karts, learning the fundamentals of vehicle control, racing lines, and competitive strategy—skills that Tanner is honing with every lap.

This partnership celebrates the American spirit of innovation and determination that drives both Tanner on the track and Partly across the automotive parts sector.

We invite our community to join us in following Tanner's racing journey and supporting this young American talent as he works toward his goals.

"I fell in love with New Zealand on a holiday a few years ago, and knew I wanted to return to work here. Navigating NZ’s immigration process was initially daunting, but Partly made it seamless."
